Cone Biopsy Cervix
A cone biopsy cervix procedure is not used in the cases of vulvar dysplasia or Lichen sclerosis.
It is recommended that a person doesn’t eat or drink anything for a few hours before the procedure, and should have someone drive them home. A cervical conization is performed by a gynecologist at a hospital under an anesthetic.

Cone Biopsy Cervix -
Vulvar, Lichen Sclerosis
A follow up exam is scheduled 4-6 weeks later to make sure the cervical area has healed. During this procedure a funnel-shaped area of tissue will be removed using a laser or knife, and then sent to a lab to be examined for cancer cells and any margins of dysplasia. A cone biopsy cervix procedure is not used in the cases of vulvar dysplasia or Lichen sclerosis.
