Cancer Cervical Colposcopy
If a cancer cervical colposcopy exam has detected condyloma, vaginal wart or mild cervical dysplasia, treatment can be applied during the same visit.
That is why they schedule a follow up exam to view the cervix more closely. Whenever a Pap smear comes back with an abnormal reading, the first thing that doctors want to know is if cancerous cells have also developed or are there just squamous cells present.

Condyloma, Vaginal Wart
The cell samples are then further examined in a lab for the level of squamous cells present and if any cancerous cells exist. This exam involves the doctor inspecting the cervix using a colposcope for abnormal areas and then taking cells samples of those areas. If a cancer cervical colposcopy exam has detected condyloma, vaginal wart or mild cervical dysplasia, treatment can be applied during the same visit.
