Colposcopy Leep
One complication following a colposcopy LEEP procedure may be urinary infection unrelated to HPV infection.
So the doctor knows where the abnormal areas are and how deep the cut should go into the tissue, he will put an acidic solution on the cervix and view it with a colposcope. By doing this he can make the procedure as successful as possible without taking unneeded tissue.

The Loop electrosurgical excision procedure is recommended in some cases as a cervical treatment when abnormal cells have been found on the cervix. This treatment is designed to remove the areas that are abnormal on the cervix. This procedure has about a 75-80% success rate.
