Leap Cone Biopsy
Leap cone biopsy is used for removing the symptoms of HPV from the cervix.
This procedure may be done during the initial colposcopy exam. It can treat and diagnose cervical dysplasia at the same time, often replacing other methods. Loop Excision is another name for "LLETZ" or "LEEP," the procedure for removing abnormal areas of the cervix.
Leap cone biopsy is used for removing the symptoms of HPV from the cervix.

HPV, Cervix
The operation is usually done under local or general anesthesia and causes little discomfort, though some bleeding and itching afterwards is possible. The removed tisue is send to the laboratory for examination. During Loop Excision a fine wire with electrical energy flowing through it is used. Leap cone biopsy is used for removing the symptoms of HPV from the cervix.
