Leep Painful Procedure
Local anethesia may be used to minimize the leep, painful procedure effects in the treatment of HPV generated dysplasia as detected on a Pap smear.

The loop electrosurgical excision process is a treatment used for removing abnormal cells from a female’s cervix. This process is done by a gynecologist, right in their office. A local anesthetic is used to numb the cervix so the process is not felt by the patient.
